Independent Counsel for Credible Journalism
Forensic Times FZC is a UAE-registered media, research, intelligence, and events platform reporting on forensic science, criminal investigation, and the administration of justice. Our Advisory Board gives the publication independent professional counsel, subject-matter depth, and access to a wider network of practitioners.
In return, Members gain public recognition, event access, editorial visibility, and a direct, uncapped way to earn from the sponsorships, partnerships, and content they help bring to the Publication.

Responsibilities of the Role
01⚖️ Strategic Guidance Offer counsel on editorial direction, industry trends, and the Publication's organizational growth. | 02🔍 Subject-Matter Expertise Bring professional expertise that strengthens the credibility, accuracy, and depth of our reporting. |
03🤝 Sponsorship & Partnership Development Identify, introduce, and support the negotiation of sponsorship, advertising, and partnership opportunities. | 04🎤 Representation Represent Forensic Times at industry seminars, conferences, and summits, including as a keynote speaker where agreed. |
05📝 Editorial Review Review and provide feedback on select editorial content and research initiatives upon request. | 06🏢 Professional Introductions Facilitate introductions across academic institutions, law enforcement agencies, forensic laboratories, legal, and vendor communities. |
07🛡️ Governance & Compliance Join quarterly advisory meetings, disclose any conflicts of interest, and safeguard non-public information. | 08🧭 Mentorship & Guidance Mentor emerging forensic professionals, students, and community members with career guidance and field insight. |
Earn From What You Bring In
This is a voluntary advisory position with no fixed salary or retainer. Instead, Members earn directly from the value they create, in two ways.
A standard 10% success fee on any sponsorship, partnership, or investment agreement the Member originates, introduces, or substantially facilitates and Forensic Times subsequently executes, with no maximum limit. Paid within seven days of the Publication receiving the corresponding funds.

Where a Member personally authors sponsored content, such as branded articles, opinion pieces, or research contributions, they keep 80% of net revenue on that piece, with 20% retained by the Platform. Each piece is assessed on its own net revenue and remains subject to editorial approval.

This is a voluntary, non-employment advisory appointment. Submitting this form does not guarantee a seat on the Board. Compensation described above applies only once a formal Advisory Board Member Agreement is executed, and is calculated on sponsorships, partnerships, investments, or sponsored content actually secured and received by Forensic Times.
Before You Apply
Is this a paid, full-time role?
No. It is a voluntary advisory appointment estimated at 2 to 5 hours per month. There is no fixed salary; Members earn through the success fee and sponsored content revenue share described above.
Is there a cap on what I can earn?
No maximum applies to the 10% success fee across the Term. Sponsored content revenue share is calculated per piece at 80% to the Member.
Do I need to relocate or travel?
No. The role is global and largely remote, with occasional sponsored trips to Forensic Times events for Members who choose to attend.
What happens after I submit the form?
The Office of the Editorial Board reviews every submission. Shortlisted candidates are contacted for an introductory conversation before any formal offer is made.
